- OCBH brings together prevention, treatment and recovery providers to recommend changes to the field in Oregon and in Washington DC.
- OCBH monitors budget negotiations and pending legislation and orchestrates a unified response from our members and partners across the state.
- OCBH coordinates access to policy makers, both state and federal, for issues that impact prevention, recovery, and treatment providers.
- OCBH works across sector partners including mental health, juvenile justice, corrections, child welfare, domestic violence and others.
Your interests are communicated directly to the Oregon Health Authority and Medical Assistance Programs of the Oregon Health Authority because OCBH meets regularly with the staff of these departments.
Membership in OCBH is open to not-for-profit corporations, business corporations, professional corporations, and limited liability companies which provide substance use treatment, mental health treatment and services, prevention, recovery or related behavioral health services. Interested agencies must submit an application; including evidence of holding and being in compliance, and good standing with a COA, State, County, or local government contract(s) to be eligible for full membership. If you do not meet the listed criteria, you still may be eligible to join as an affiliate member.
OCBH is supported by membership dues paid by its members based on the behavioral health budgets of each agency, with a minimum dues amount of $1,000.00 and a maximum amount of $21,000.00 annually.
Services considered part of an agency's overall Behavioral Health Budget include but are not limited to: Prevention programs, Residential, Withdrawal Management and Housing programs with services to residents. If you have questions about whether a portion of your budget should be considered Behavioral Health, please contact us.
