Session 2: OUCH Training: Interrupting Client's Microaggressions

Description

This training utilizes the basic premise of Ouch! That Stereotype Hurts and expounds on skills to interrupt statements made by clients that need to be addressed. Considerations of when and how to interrupt are discussed along with calling in vs calling out. We will explore ways to interrupt oppressive language or behaviors of those we are serving while balancing our roles and scope as behavioral health professionals.
