Session 1: Succession Planning Beyond the CEO

Description

Succession planning is vital to the success of high-functioning organizations and having a succession plan that allows for a diverse pool of employees with potential to be identified, mentored, and supported towards higher positions within the company is key.

Proactively identifying and developing new leaders to succeed current ones and meet future leadership needs is key to the sustainability of any organization. But remember, succession planning is not solely to focus on the CEO. For a behavioral health provider to be sustainable, it needs to be able to attract and maintain a talent pool of employees who see their future linked to that of the organization.

Beyond discussing the how’s and why’s of succession planning, we will review certain tools that can be used to help assess and develop those staff that have a potential for leadership roles or other roles within your organization.
